Uplift Mid-MO extends warm wishes to everyone for a Happy and Blessed 2024. The past year, 2023, marked another significant growth and development period for us, and your invaluable support played a crucial role in our successes. We are profoundly grateful for the unwavering backing from our church, agency, and business partners. It is through the collective efforts of each of you that we can make a positive impact in the lives of others. As we embark on the new year, we hope that you are enjoying a healthy and warm start to 2024. Our heartfelt prayers are with each of you and your families that the love of God is palpable and brings comfort and joy into your lives. We are so grateful for God’s provision over the last five years. New Website You may have noticed that upliftmidmo.org has received a major upgrade. It looks very similar to the old website, but it is easier to navigate, and information is more accessible. Email invitations were sent out recently to everyone who has referred to us through our website in the past. Church and Agency partners: If you received an email from [email protected], please rest assured that it is not spam. Please check your spam folder if you did not receive an email, and you think you should have. If you haven't ever referred a client to Uplift but would like an account in case you have the need, please let the Uplift Mid-MO office know, and we’ll be happy to send you an invitation! What’s Ahead for Uplift Mid-MO To celebrate our fifth anniversary, Uplift Mid-MO will be holding a "Month of Giving" during the month of November this year. This fundraising event will replace our annual 5K this year, and we aim to raise $20,000 to support our mission. We believe that with your help, we can do that. All church partners will receive a hand-delivered media kit in the first part of October. It will include a variety of things that can be shared with their congregation, including four short videos (2 minutes long) for each week highlighting different aspects of our organization. These videos will be promoted across our social channels simultaneously during the month of November. As we prepare for this, you can imagine a tremendous amount of work is involved behind the scenes. A part of this video series showcases the partnerships between Uplift and our church & agency partners and testimonies from former clients. Uplift Mid-MO Activity Report for the 4th quarter of 2023: Q4 Financial Assistance Offered - $5,726.11 for 13 various services
During this past quarter, there were fewer referrals than in the 3rd quarter, however, our contributions of assistance were higher as costs of needs have increased. And, as you can see, not every referral becomes an open case - there are many reasons for this, including lack of contact information, resource information only provided, and duplicate submissions, but often due to the evaluation process for each referral. Uplift strives to be a “gap ministry”(assisting when the criteria of other agencies can’t be met). We evaluate the ability of the assistance Uplift offers to assist in the sustainability of the individual’s independence, and we are faith-based and faith-supported by our church partners.
Once again, thank you for your support as we continue together the mission of Uplift Mid-Mo: create unity in the body of Christ by supporting local missions and outreach in Audrain County by providing valuable resources to those in need and effectively lead the lost to Jesus Christ. This is the ultimate goal of Uplift Mid-MO.
